I believe:

• A better world is possible.
  
  
• In the democratic process.
  
  
• Patriotism without action is only a word.
  
  
• Meaning and purpose come from devotion to something larger than yourself.
  
  
• Society as it matures must move from:
  
  
  • A society motivated by “taking” to one motivated by “giving.”
  • A society motivated by fear to one motivated by courage, caring, and compassion.
  • A society focused on the individual to one focused on people and communities.
    
    
• There is synergy in community…the sum of the parts of a community are less than the whole, and the difference would include the commonwealth, defense, economies of scale, and many, many more…
